How to prepare business bank statements
An outline for organizing financial documents and protecting business information.
Confirm the request first
Ask exactly which statement periods and accounts are needed, why they are needed, and how they will be used.
Use a secure channel
Do not send bank statements to an unverified email address or through a form that is not configured for secure document handling. Confirm a secure submission method directly with the provider.
Keep the originals unchanged
Provide accurate records in the requested format. Do not edit or omit transactions in a way that could misrepresent the business.
Ask who can access them
Before sending, ask who will review the statements, how long they will be retained and how you can request deletion when permitted.
